The quest for the ultimate stroller (part 2)!

This post is a follow up to this one> http://lordoftherinse.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-quest-for-ultimate-stroller-part-1.html

Why it took this long is because we did end up getting one shipped from Mamita, along with other goodies. Shipping was 45 days + a week of getting held up at customs. Based on price and customer reviews, what we decided on was...

DRUMROLL PLEASE

The Britax B-Agile!
Setting it up was easy as cake. Everything just locks into place.  We tested it on mounds of books, CDs, the cracks and crevices on the mall floor, on the dirt path outside... it's a pretty smooth ride. We used it while grocery shopping and the shopping cart was a nightmare compared to this beauty. It rocks in the looks department too.

On said shopping trip, a lady was pushing a stroller with a toddler on it, who stopped what he was doing and looked at Malaya. The lady then went "Nasuya!" Why the mother would automatically assume that her kid was jealous made us assume she was projecting her own suya over our snazzy stroller.

I doubt kids this young care what their strollers look like as long as they're moving.

What we don't love though is that while the one-hand fold system is great, it's not as lightweight as it advertises when we carry it down our apartment and all the way to the street to wait for a cab.  Also, at his current size, he keeps tipping over sideways in his chair, and we need to keep propping him up. Mamita says we need to get him a seat liner to support his back though.

There's a strap you can pull on for the recline, so when Malaya fell asleep, we could control the recline. I absolutely love the hood for its size. I have yet to test how this would fair under rainy weather without a rain cover though.

Shipping prices included, it was still 50% cheaper than the ones we liked at the mall.

Even Fufuy likes it.
While this push-chair makes life much easier on our shoulders and arms most days (specially as the boy becomes heavier), it's too much of a hassle to lug around when we have too many stops and we're just commuting.

Overall, it's great. The few times we've tested it, Malaya only complains about being strapped in when it isn't moving. The buckle is a pretty heavy button, so even if he figures out how it's supposed to unlatch, it still would be beyond his capacity to remove. Our issues with it are more "it's not you, it's me" sorts of things. Thanks for the stroller Mamita. :)
